April 21, 2022

Effective April 21st, 2022 patients being admitted to the hospital can identify two (2) fully vaccinated essential care partners. Only one (1) essential care partner will be permitted per day for up to one (1) hour between the hours of 10 AM and 8 PM, seven (7) days per week.

When coming to the hospital, all essential care partners must:

  • be screened through the Emergency Department Entrance
  • show proof they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 along with a piece of government-issued photo identification
  • wear a mask at all times
  • follow the hospital's infection prevention and control procedures as well as Public Health restrictions

Fully vaccinated is defined as having two doses of a Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccine with the last dose at least 14 days ago.

At this time, visitors are not allowed in the Emergency Department unless determined necessary by the treating staff based on the patient's needs.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to face unprecedented challenges as a result of the pandemic.
