HGMH Celebrates 60 years of Care and Community with a Night to Remember
Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital (HGMH) marked a major milestone on Friday, May 9, 2025, as it welcomed the public, staff, physicians and volunteers to a community celebration in honor of its 60th anniversary.
Held at the Michel Depratto Hall in Alexandria, the event drew a large crowd who came together to recognize six decades of local, compassionate care. The evening featured live music by Two for the Road, refreshments, information booths, and presentations highlighting the hospital’s journey and its exciting path forward.
“This event was a reflection of everything we stand for — care, community, and connection,” said Robert Alldred-Hughes, President & CEO of HGMH. “We are so proud to have served this community for the past 60 years and remain committed to delivering high-quality healthcare close to home.”
As part of the Community Engagement Session, attendees had the opportunity to engage with staff and volunteers through interactive information booths which allowed them to learn more about the hospital. Prior to the event, the community were also given the opportunity to submit questions which were answered by the President & CEO throughout the evening. Updates were shared on future projects and initiatives, fostering a transparent and forward-looking dialogue with the public.
HGMH thanks everyone who attended and contributed to making the evening such a success, including volunteers, staff, physicians, and the broader community. The hospital looks forward to continuing its tradition of excellence in care and community partnership for years to come.
